Oxymetal is investing in a 7-axis Hexagon Absolute 3D measuring arm to strengthen its dimensional inspections and secure series production launches.
Quality under control from the very first parts
Before any series production, the approval of Initial Samples and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) submissions confirms that parts conform and that manufacturing processes are reliable.
To meet these requirements, the Oxymetal site in Nantes has acquired a 7-axis Hexagon Absolute 3D measuring arm, paired with PolyWorks Inspector software.
Able to inspect parts up to 3 meters in size with an accuracy of 0.061 mm, this equipment is used to:
- Inspect complex geometries by touch probing or 3D scanning.
- Produce full inspection reports.
- Speed up the approval of Initial Samples and PPAP submissions.
Tangible benefits for our customers
This new equipment makes us more self-sufficient in metrology and delivers:
- Faster approvals, without systematically relying on an external laboratory.
- A faster production launch.
- Quality secured from the very first parts.
- A single point of contact, from manufacturing to dimensional inspection.
This investment reflects Oxymetal’s commitment to strengthening control over its processes to guarantee reliability, quality and industrial performance.
